Enhanced Thermal Conduction Soil Remediation

Remediate contaminated soil on-site, keep it in its native location, and remove the contingent liability associated with trucking or shipping contamination off-site.

What is Enhanced Thermal Conduction (ETC) Thermal Soil Remediation Technology?

It is no longer necessary to relocate petroleum or explosives contaminated soils to landfills. We offer award-winning technology that is proven to return contaminated soil to its original state, preventing the need to truck in non-native soils.

Our innovative technology is a cost-effective way to restore terrestrial ecosystems from petroleum based oil spills with minimal impact. Unlike traditional thermal remediation processes, soil can be treated on-site while meeting stringent environmental regulations. Treating soil at contaminated locations allows us to treat 100% of the problem, eliminating the cost, liability and greenhouse gases of trucking or shipping it elsewhere.

Most impressive is our ability to use petroleum-contaminated soil to fuel our ETC technology to clean impacted areas. Our methods use hydrocarbons from waste to power our thermal processes.

Once treated and tested, native soil is returned to its source to be safely revegetated with native plants. Treatment is mobile, quiet, predictable and safe, meeting the most rigorous environmental standards to allow us to operate anywhere in the world. In fact, our technologies are responsible for the restoration of some of the most pristine environments on the planet.

Marwell Tar Pit, Whitehorse, B.C. 36,000 tons of soil was treated and backfilled. Approximately 1000 truckloads of highly contaminated soil was kept off of roads and diverted from landfills.

Benefits of Enhanced Thermal Conduction (ETC) Thermal Remediation Soil Treatment

  • Cost-effective thermal remediation;

  • Effective with persistent and difficult to treat waste matrices

  • Logistics simplicity & flexibility of operational deployment;

  • Scalability;

  • Zero reject, no matter the treatment material soil type or moisture content;

  • Significantly reduced safety exposure (no rotating equipment – screeners, drums, conveyors, etc.);

  • Quiet operations;

  • Removes contingent liability and eliminates the need for trucking, landfilling, etc.;

  • Guaranteed treatment timelines & treatment outcomes;

  • All-weather capability.

  • Multiple Enhanced Thermal Conduction thermal remediation treatment cells in operation.

  • Treating explosives impacted soil with Enhanced Thermal Conduction.

    Enhanced Thermal Conduction safely restores explosives impacted soil so land can be repurposed.

  • Our innovative Enhanced Thermal Conduction design allows us to fit our technology into the belly of a plane. The ultimate nimble, mobile thermal remediation technology.

  • This unique technology is durable and efficient, operating year-round in some of the most extreme winter weather on the planet.

Safety is Our Number One Priority

Our process is designed to meet the most rigorous regulatory standards because we understand the biggest liability to site remediation is human health and safety. Our stringent protocols protect human and environmental health, and ensure an incident-free job site.

Even our technology is designed with safety in mind. For example, our remediation process is static— there are no moving parts. Contaminated soil stays in place, removing the liability associated with loading and trucking materials off site.
